XP/STAT

XP/STAT is Carreker's PC based operator logging and statistics collection program that executes from the PC on the IBM 3890/XP Series of Document Processors, allowing users to gather detailed statistical information about each item as it passes through the sorter, both on-line and off-line.

SUMMARY

XP/STAT is a PC-based operator logging and statistics gathering program that runs on the IBM 3890/XP Series of Document Processors, as well as the NCR 7780 and UT sorters, collecting comprehensive data about the type of work that you are processing on all your sorts, both on-line and off-line. The user-defined maintenance files determine when an operator can logon to XP/STAT, when each type of work may be run, and at what sorter volume the operator receives certain threshold messages. XP/STAT monitors sorter activity and records non-document processing events, including down time reasons.

HIGHLIGHTS

XP/STAT output feeds MS Access, or any industry standard data base program, allowing the user to have complete control over the creation of reports and graphs. XP/STAT:

  • Provides statistics depicting total volume, total rejects, rejects by field, and all jam statistics.
  • Controls and validates CPCS jobs by checking valid sort types by application, time of day, and day of week to prevent costly operator errors.
  • Eliminates manual logging and statistic collecting procedures for machine number, operator, shift, sort and run type, cycle, and date.
  • Monitors non-document / non-productive machine time.
  • Performs sorter capacity modeling.
  • Tracks operator productivity by logging date, shift, sorter, operator, logon/logoff times and reason.
  • Alerts the operator when the sorter needs cleaning and keeps track of the maintenance performed.
  • Alerts the operator of excessive rejects based on user definitions by run types.
  • Aids reject repair by printing a CPCS control sheet.

FEATURES

COMPREHENSIVE RUN STATISTICS

  • Total volume
  • Total rejects
  • Reject percentage
  • Digit and length error statistics by MICR field
  • Reject reasons by document
  • Error conditions by document
  • Number of jams per run
  • Jam recovery time
  • Jams by module

SORT TYPE VALIDATION
XP/STAT controls and validates CPCS jobs by checking valid sort types by application, time of day, and day of week.

REJECT THRESHOLDS
XP/STAT alerts the operator if there are excessive rejects, based on your user-defined thresholds.

INDUSTRY STANDARD DATA FILES
XP/STAT writes all of its statistics to industry standard formats for use by any common database or report generator.

CENTRALIZED INFORMATION
All sorter information can be collected at a centralized location, allowing you the convenience of centrally aggregating all of your sorter information.

OPERATOR PERFORMANCE STATISTICS
XP/STAT monitors sorter operator performance by logging the date, sorter, operator, logon/logoff times, and logoff reason.

MONITORING OF NON-PRODUCTIVE EVENT TIMES
For each time a sorter is down, XP/STAT logs the date, operator, sorter, reason for down time, and log number.

SORTER MAINTENANCE
XP/STAT alerts the operator when a sorter needs cleaning and keeps track of the maintenance performed.

THROUGHPUT FIGURES
XP/STAT shows items per hour in machine running time and elapsed time.

CUSTOMIZED MENU FILES
User defined menu files determine which applications XP/STAT presents to the operator on the menus.

AUTOMATED APPLICATION SELECTION
XP/STAT provides a user exit, at which the user exit program returns the application data that would normally be provided by the operator.
