Carreker’s Regional Capture solution delivers all the benefits of remote image capture — transportation savings, accelerated clearing and streamlined, more efficient processing — without costly infrastructure and technology investments that can defeat the branch capture business case. In addition to a scalable and flexible branch image capture strategy, our Regional Capture solutions offer an aggressive approach for delivering correspondent bank services.
Regional Capture utilizes our production-proven, industry-leading Source Capture Suite™/Web Capture application. When interfaced with various scanners including the NCR 7780/iTrans transport, this solution enables a branch or regional facility to capture check images and data and transmit them, in real time to a central processing site via the Internet. The application is maintained on a central web server at the bank, where all processing occurs — creating a cost-effective solution with no software installation or maintenance at the branch or regional site.
Regional Web Capture capture check deposits in small or large batches at near rated track speed. It also includes advanced CAR and LAR support to automatically capture item amounts, as well as industry-leading image quality tools to ensure that all images received are acceptable for image exchange, archive, and customer statements. Regional Web Capture also includes duplicate payment detection features to ensure against double-postings.
By moving to a web-based capture environment, in which the capture application is housed and maintained centrally, your institution can reduce infrastructure costs and IT dependence, while improving your flexibility to adapt as check volumes change. Moreover, the application can be quickly set up at a new capture site as volumes shift or as regional capture sites are consolidated.
Central Processing of Deposits
Web Regional Capture interfaces with Carreker’s Source Capture Base application or other back-end systems via X9.37 files. Source Capture Base provides support for completing the certification of the deposits received, and creating any required deposit correction records. Source Capture Base then creates the required output files for downstream processing systems such as posting, image archive load, image exchange, IRD creation, and ACH conversion. Because the system is centrally maintained, updates and enhancements are immediately available to all regional capture sites.
Correspondent Bank Services
By offering regional capture solutions to other banks, your financial institution can increase revenue and market share through correspondent bank services — without major infrastructure changes.
