CIMS
SHORT-TERM, HIGH PERFORMANCE IMAGE
LANDING ZONE SOLUTIONS
Carreker's CIMS™ products provide
short-term, high-performance working
storage for image capture and image
management. Available for OS/390,
UNIX and Windows platforms,
financial institutions can incorporate
CIMS into their image management
strategies to provide:
- An onsite, short-term image repository
offering high-speed access to
images from 0-90 days old
- A consolidation point for images
during the image exchange process
- A staging area in support of
the image quality validation and
capture data synchronization process
- Control of client access to images
- Support for intra-day loading
and accessing (with an external
index system)
- A staging area for image product
creation (image statements or
CD creation)
For banks preparing for image exchange, CIMS offers:
- An on-site image exchange staging
zone for timely and efficient
image exchange
- Easy access to exchanged images
at the Send and Receive end of
the transaction
- Rapid image and data quality
inspection, for outgoing exchange
files
- Efficient and timely availability
of images for use in back office
and risk applications to
overcome a key concern of Check
21 implementation
For financial institutions with
an outsourced image archive, CIMS
offers:
- Bulk product creation without
restaging from long-term archive
- Disk tier at remote site may
be unnecessary, due to a majority
of ad hoc retrievals occurring
from the CIMS landing zone
- More control of images used for
customer-facing applications
CIMS
products are supported by database
and system management utilities,
and it supports the importing
of images from various capture
systems. They provide intra-day
access to images on Day 0, 1, 2
and beyond, effectively supporting
the movement toward real-time payments
processing. Moreover, they are
proven solutions -- more than 60
percent of the U.S. image capture
volume is stored in CIMS.
