GENERATE PRINT-READY, CHECK 21-COMPLIANT IRD FILES

Regardless of its specific plans to enable image exchange or remote capture, every bank now needs an enterprise strategy for efficiently generating, printing and processing substitute checks, often referred to as image replacement documents (IRDs). IRD Author is a comprehensive solution for generating IRDs to support remote capture, forward transit item presentment, inbound returns, outbound returns and statement enclosures. It also enables banks to generate and collate reports and batch tickets into the print stream in a variety of configurations, providing for efficient paper handling after printing.

Designed in partnership with leading financial institutions, IRD Author is a proven, flexible solution that supports the full range of check handling processes. It can address IRD requests from multiple sources, including image exchange systems, distributed capture points, exception processing and statement systems, and provides a superior foundation for future IRD-related work types. The application is designed to run in both Windows and AIX environments. Accepting x9.37 input files, IRD Author creates IRD print files in AFP, PDF, or PCL format for printing locally or remotely on a wide variety of MICR printers. Printed outputs can include all types of IRDs specified by ANSI X9.100-140, arranged in a variety of output work types, ready for the next step in the item handling process. IRD Author can generate batch tickets, kill bundle and cash letter reports, statement cycle reports, and other documentation to support any item processing requirement.
