Image Bulk-file & Fine-sort™ (IBFS)

Carreker's Image Bulk-file and Fine-sort System (IBFS) is an image-enabled solution for all of an institution's sorting needs after the high-speed capture and reject repair process has been accomplished.

SUMMARY

The Image Bulk-file and Fine-sort System (IBFS) is an image-enabled solution for all of an institution's sorting needs after the high-speed capture and reject repair process has been accomplished. IBFS contains extensive capabilities that improve the performance and reduce the cost of bulk-filing and fine-sorting.

Functions include:

  • Bulk-File / Cycle Sorting
  • Statement Sorting
  • Daily Fine-sorting
  • Vault Control
  • Exception Pull
  • Selective Image Capture

FEATURES

COMPATIBILITY

This image-enabled system was designed from the ground up to be compatible with just about everything you are currently using in your check processing operation. It is compatible with, and can accept and process data used by, your current bulk-file system, requiring a minimal conversion effort to implement IBFS.

TIME SAVINGS

The major selling point of IBFS is "EFFICIENCIES." A small amount of time is saved in each step of the capturing, processing, filing, storing, and rendering of statement processes, adding up to a major monetary positive effect on the bottom line of all institutions... LARGE or small ...whether utilizing Image Processing or performing in a Non-Image Processing environment.

ADVANCED DESIGN

As with any well designed system, IBFS is a multi-tasking, multi-site and multi-platform application providing comprehensive features and functions that give the users full and complete control of their item sorting needs.

IBFS enables you to eliminate item image re-capture since it has the ability to capture images on the first pass or block sort capture. It also allows the reduction of item passes with its unique ability to "anticipate" the next sort job. And, by the creation of a codeline data-match file to be used in the next sort run, it eliminates the need to capture or block sort the items another time, reducing item passes and expensive sorter costs, and improving time critical schedules.

BENEFITS

This system has been built with a comprehensive list of features and capabilities, allowing banks to improve their item sorting throughput and accuracy. These include:

Supports All Types of Item Sorts:
IBFS is the only software product you will need for bulk-file / cycle sort, statement sort, fine sort, daily items sort, and any other periodic or specific sorting requirement.

Uses Existing Sorters:
IBFS works with any IBM 3890 compatible sorter (3890A/B/B+, XP, XPE, XP/PCI) as well as the NCR 7780 and BancTec sorters, requiring no additional hardware and/or software.

Flexible Sort Control:
You define and tailor the sort requirements to suit your specific needs. Using the IBFS sort control file maintenance facility, you control and manage most, if not all, of the item sorting and processing.

Customizing Sorts:
With the additional user exits that are provided with IBFS, you can customize all of the sort jobs that may require additional tailoring. The user exits allow you to define and control your own environment.

Image-enabled:
Not only can IBFS meet your conventional sorting needs, it can also capture images of items and power-encode them if necessary. Images can be captured on any IBFS bulk-file sort pass, eliminating the re-pass of items for this purpose. This time saving feature now allows you to create images in a much earlier time frame.

Intuitive Interface:
Information about IBFS is logically grouped and presented to the operators. On-line help is readily available. This combination allows operators easy access and maneuverability.

Easy to Learn and Use:
The system's intuitive interface and logical data presentation significantly reduce the time and effort required to train and educate IBFS users.
