AN END-TO-END SOLUTION FOR RETURNS AND OUTBOUND EXCEPTION PROCESSING

Express Capture™ provides system interfaces to Carreker’s Inbound Returns Express™ and Exceptions Express™ applications. These interfaces enable image capture of inbound return items and the sorting of end-of-day advices, notification and items processed in both systems.

Banks have traditionally required file-level interfaces from existing input and output paper handling systems, which can be complicated to install and increase the bank’s dependency on IT resources for testing and validation. They also create additional support and upgrade issues surrounding multi-vendor systems integration.

Express Capture offers a simpler, more cost effective method for capturing the inbound return cash letters. By providing image capture, reject repair, intelligent sorting with power encoding of rejects, cheque qualification and cash letter creation, this stand-alone system delivers an end-to-end solution that eliminates the need for specialised interfaces.

Decision files for exception items can also be sent to Express Capture, enabling sorting of exceptions items into multiple pockets (paid, returned, qualified, unqualified, and items needing repair). Returned items can be sorted into cash letters and paid items can be grouped for bulk file.

The addition of Express Capture to the Inbound Returns Express and Exceptions Express systems adds value to the return item processing functions while reducing operational expenses and IT dependency.

Providing a self-contained sorting system, Express Capture eliminates the cost of developing interfaces to other capture systems. In addition, the resulting single-vendor solution increases the reliability and accuracy of the incoming return item operation. Because installation is simplified, Express Capture offers a more cost effective, logical solution.
