Carretek Hires BPO Expert Jagdish Dalal to Head Business Solutions Development
DALLAS, June 8 -- Carretek LLC, a transformational business processing outsourcer for transaction processing, announced today that BPO expert Jagdish Dalal has been hired to lead the company’s business solutions development.
As founding principal of JDalal Associates in 2002, an outsourcing consultancy, Dalal has helped many of the world’s leading professional services companies establish outsourcing and offshoring practices. Dalal has served on the board of directors of Carretek, LLC since its formation in 2003, contributing heavily to Carretek’s solutions and model governance program.

Dalal’s clients have included several Fortune 500 companies including two of the top 15 US banks and the world’s largest insurance company. The governments of China, Brazil, Malaysia and South Africa engaged Dalal to orchestrate conferences to promote offshoring concepts to local service provider companies. Prior to forming JDalal Associates, LLC, Dalal was vice president, e-Business and CIO for Carrier Corporation (a $9B division of United Technologies Corp.), where he managed a $100 million outsourcing budget.
Dalal was one of the founding partners for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ BPO practice. He was responsible for the largest BPO deal recorded to date and led PwC’s BPO thought leadership and marketing. He has also held senior MIS leadership positions at Xerox, Unisys, Data General, Brookhaven National Laboratory and Teledyne. At Xerox he created the strategy and led the team responsible for a $3.2B global outsourcing contract for EDS. The strategy and development of this major contract is now part of a Harvard Business School case study used by graduate level courses at many universities worldwide.
Dalal is a frequent speaker and author on outsourcing and management strategy topics. He was asked to lead a team of judges to select Global Outsourcing 100 companies for publication in the April 2006 edition of FORTUNE. He was a finalist for the World Outsourcing Achievement Award, was honored at the World Outsourcing Conference in 2001, and was recognized by iSource magazine as one of the “2003 sourcing pros to know.”
