Dallas, November 19, 2003 — ARGO Data Resource Corporation (ARGO), a leading provider of branch automation software, and Carreker Corporation (Nasdaq: CANI), a leading provider of consulting and technology solutions for the financial services industry, today announced they are extending their alliance to deliver an end-to-end solution for branch capture of check images.

Now that Check 21 has been signed into law, permitting banks to truncate checks and present substitute checks that bear images of the original, banks are increasingly seeking to capture check images earlier in the clearing process, including the point at which checks are presented to bank branch tellers.

Carreker is developing a suite of solutions known as Source Capture, which will take check images and data captured in the branch, inspect for quality, and send to the bank’s back office to support posting, bank-to-bank image exchange, and check archiving for customer support purposes.

To accommodate the 50 percent of the top U.S. banks that already use ARGO’s BANKPRO Teller solution, Carreker and ARGO will integrate the Source Capture solution suite with ARGO’s Teller Image Capture Solution. This will provide image capture functionality that maximizes the opportunity offered by Check 21, including:

• Providing the bank’s customers with high-quality service for their image-related needs
  
• Reducing the cost of processing deposits and payments
  
• Truncate the flow of costly paper check processing
  
• Reducing payments risk by detecting potential fraud earlier in the clearing cycle
  
• Detecting image quality suspects and repair as required
