CARREKER HIRES LISA PETERSON
AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
DALLAS, TX (October 2, 2003) — Carreker
Corporation (Nasdaq: CANI), a leading
provider of technology and consulting
solutions for the financial industry,
announced that Lisa Peterson has
been hired as the company’s
executive vice president and chief
financial officer.
Peterson was most recently executive
vice president, chief financial
and administrative officer of Monarch
Dental Corporation, a $200 million
publicly traded dental practice
management company. During her
tenure there, from 1999 to 2003,
her responsibilities included accounting,
investor relations, corporate governance,
legal, human resources, treasury
and risk management.

and CEO of Carreker Corporation,

background in a broad scope of
financial and administrative matters

Audit Committee and a member of
the search committee for the chief

during which Lisa Peterson emerged

versatile and talented executive

Before Monarch Dental, Peterson’s
experience consisted of two years
as chief financial officer for
Viacom Retail Stores, Inc. (the
retail and wholesale start-up division
of Viacom, Inc.), six years culminating
in the position of vice president
and controller of Pearle Vision,
Inc. (the optical retailer), one
year as manager of internal audit
at Zale Corporation (the national
jewelry retailer) and ten years
as an auditor with Coopers and
Lybrand (the accounting and consulting
firm). She received her undergraduate
degree in accounting from the University
of Texas at Austin in 1980 and
her CPA in 1982.
Denny Carreker also said, “We
want to express our appreciation
to Frank Tilley of Tatum Partners
who served as interim CFO since
mid-June. He provided valuable
leadership and direction for our
financial function during this
period.”
