Carreker Corporation Press Release - September 15, 2003

FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA CHOOSES CARREKER’S ENACT SOLUTION FOR MANAGING CUSTOMER INTERACTIONS AND PORTFOLIOS

FNB SA Enhances Customer Value with a Unified, Enterprisewide Sales/Service Approach

Dallas, TX (September 15, 2003) – Carreker Corporation (Nasdaq: CANI), a leading provider of technology and consulting solutions for the financial industry, today announced that First National Bank of South Africa has purchased an enterprise license for Carreker’s EnAct™ solution. EnAct is being implemented across the organization to help sales and service employees in banking, insurance and investments see the full profile of customers in their portfolios and communicate more effectively across traditional business lines and across the bank’s delivery channels.

According to Peet van der Walt, senior general manager, First National Bank, “EnAct lets us assemble the value of our offerings in ways that are easy for customers to access and for our sales and service people to articulate and deliver. We are proud that we continue to be top ranked among South African banks for our customer service, because we know that customer service directly correlates to financial performance. But just as important as service quality is the ability of our people to anticipate customers’ financial needs and communicate with their customers in ways that increases value for both parties. That is what EnAct brings us.”

Keith Von Seggern, managing principal and head of Carreker’s EnAct group, said, “This agreement with First National Bank is particularly exciting, because together we are putting to work an enhanced version of EnAct that, for the first time, lets clients enrich their customer information from customer-initiated interactions, by far the majority of in-person customer interactions. With EnAct 4.1, FNB can build much more complete profiles of their customers and do so beyond the traditional retail branch system.”

J.D. (Denny) Carreker, chairman and chief executive office of Carreker, said, “We are pleased that First National Bank chose our solution to help them achieve their ambitious sales and service goals. This significant engagement means that three of South Africa’s four largest banks have invested in EnAct for that purpose. By partnering with us on our enhanced version of EnAct, First National Bank stands to realize even more gains by capturing and using more and better customer information.”

Carreker’s EnAct solution helps banks better understand and meet the needs of their customers and maximize the value that both the bank customer and the bank derive from the relationship. The solution consists of web-based enterprise software, executive consulting, central marketing consulting, skills training and front-line methodology.

EnAct users, financial institutions of all sizes around the world, have cited substantial gains in metrics that reflect improvements in service levels, customer satisfaction and overall customer value.
